my favorite foods from the Food Hub
below are my favorites in addition to all the amazing vegetables and fruits. by the way, our veg and fruits last LONGER than what you get at the grocery store, because it's been picked that morning (or the day prior) instead of being shipped across the world and artificially ripened. our foods are also much richer in nutrients because they are grown in healthy soil, without pesticides and herbicides. win-win-win!
- Liver mush! combine with ground beef to make meatballs or meatloaf
- ancestral ground meat that includes organ meats
- EGGS: duck, goose, chicken
- low temp pasteurized buttermilk and milk: contains more living ingredients that help you digest milk and benefit your immune system
- Between The Trees breads: especially the seeded rye and nutty sourdough
- fresh ground flour - flour is a LIVING food that should only be used fresh
- fresh ground grits
- Carolina rice
Nutrition & Physical Degeneration: read for free online. (nerd alert! it's dense, and probably not a good place to start for most people!)
a side note: I don't generally subscribe or advocate for the Price Foundation's philosophy on topics outside of nutrition.
